Join us for a free composting workshop where you'll learn about the life cycle of food, from farm to fork and beyond. We'll review the basics of composting and how to properly collect and drop off kitchen scraps at your local community garden. Let's help our neighbors grow healthy food for a healthy community.

This is a bilingual workshop in both Spanish and English.
What is a Weed - 10 am
Help us weed the garden and learn about the plants that are commonly referred to as weeds.
Seed Bomb Workshop - 11 am
Make seed bombs with dirt and native wildflower seeds, then take them home to toss around and grow.
Eat The Rainbow - 12 pm
Get a delicious lunch of colorful veggies inspired by a recipe from the cookbook "Decolonize Your Diet." $4 will get you rainbow veggies and a drink. If you like, participate in a lunchtime discussion about sustainability.
Composting Workshop - 1 pm
L.A. Compost will present a mini composting workshop and lead the group in turning the garden compost bin. Learn about the magic of compost and hear about the different compost hub locations around Los Angeles.
