Join LA Compost and Root Down LA on the last Saturday of every month for a hands-on volunteer workday dedicated to caring for the Carver Middle School Community Garden.

Together, we'll tackle important seasonal projects that keep the garden healthy, productive, and thriving. Whether you're an experienced gardener or trying it for the first time, there's a meaningful task for everyone. After a rewarding day of working side by side, we'll gather to enjoy a delicious, veggie-inspired meal made with fresh, wholesome ingredients.

About the event: The service project is a part of the Climate Action Microgrant program, which expands climate service opportunities throughout the state of California. These projects connect state and local climate projects that engage volunteers in their community. All volunteers will join the Climate Action Counts campaign to stay connected on future opportunities to stay engaged in this important work. This opportunity is made possible through partnerships at the state and local level, including: California Climate Action Corps, a program of California Volunteers, Keep California Beautiful, and Garden School Foundation.
