Compost 101 Workshop: Fremont Community Garden

  • Fremont Community Garden 7821 Avalon Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90003 (map)

Curious about composting? Join us for a Compost 101 Workshop, where we will go over beginner basics, helpful tips, and help demystify the composting process!

What to expect:

We'll kick things off with a guided tour of the Fremont Community Garden in South LA, where you'll get to see various compost systems in action. As we witness the magic of heat emanating from the compost pile and observe the bustling activity of worms in the vermicompost, you'll witness the magic of decomposition up close.

Learn how to effectively collect food scraps, explore the benefits of joining a co-op, or get started with your own backyard composting setup. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to elevate your composting efforts!

Free Giveaway:

As a bonus, all attendees will receive free compost (BYO container) while supplies last, along with guidance on how to use it effectively. We look forward to seeing you there!
