Join our soil scientists at Cottonwood Urban Farm for a monthly Community Soil Lab event! Participants will study soil and compost health through exciting lab testing and composting activities.

• Lab tests include: soil texture, pH, nutrient levels (NPK), microbial levels, and fungi:bacteria (F:B) ratios.

• Composting activities include: turning piles, temperature and moisture observations, and sifting.

• You’re welcome to bring ONE soil or compost sample with you for testing during our session (2 cups of material; follow these (soil & compost sampling instructions).
