Compost Coaching Program

The Compost Coaching Program has catered resources and solutions to guide you along your community composting journey. Here’s how it works:

Step 1. Review Community Composting Toolkit

Download the Community Composting Toolkit below and review the Toolkit by going through the guided sections and gaining a better understanding of the composting process.

Step 3. Engage Hands-on with Community Composting

To continue your coaching process, sign up for an LA Compost Volunteer Event. Click here to view the calendar. This is the best way to see community composting in action and learn by doing.

Step 2. Schedule Coaching Call

Schedule a 30-minute phone call with the Compost Coaching Team to discuss the Questionnaire.  Email compostcoaching@lacompost.org with the subject line “Your Group” Compost Coaching. Please wait for confirmation from the Compost Coaching Team who will follow up via email to confirm your call in addition to asking any follow-up questions.

Step 4. Get Ready to Start Community Composting

Following guidance from the Coaching Team and learnings from hands-on learning you can work through your plan for your compost site and/or next steps within the Coaching Program.
