Five Ways to Add Volunteering to Your Routine

Make it simple! ✅ Add volunteering to your weekly routine and see how easy and fun it is to support community composting while getting your to-do list done. Here are five things you can do while also volunteering with LA Compost:

If you're ready to make volunteering a part of your weekly routine, sign up via mobilize.us/lacompost. We can't wait to see you!

1. Catch up with a friend.💬 All of our volunteer events are suitable for 2+ volunteers when signing up, just send your friend(s) the link so they can join in the composting fun. Spend your time connecting while volunteering.

2. Explore a new area of LA. 🌴 We all have a list of parks, museums, cafes, or restaurants you've been wanting to try in our amazing city. Check out a volunteer event in the area you want to visit and do both!

3. Find a moment of mindfulness. 🧘‍♂️ There are many volunteer tasks including sifting compost that can allow you to slow down, focus on the task at hand, and notice your breath. This is many of our volunteer's favorite activity because of the chill vibes.

4. Get your grocery shopping done. 🥕 At our Farmers' Market volunteer locations, you can always get your grocery shopping done before or after your shift and pick up goodies from SoCal's most delicious local vendors.

5). Lastly, get that workout in! 🏋️‍♀️ Most volunteer opportunities include moderate movement and standing. You can always take it up a notch (if you'd like) by volunteering for tasks such as using the wheel barrow, assisting with tote moving, and more. Remember to stretch before!
