Earth Day Compost LearnShop

  • audubon center at debs park (map)

EVENT DESCRIPTION

Compost is vital to a healthy earth. It helps enrich soils to grow healthy food and plants, diverts food waste from filling up overfilled landfills, and helps connect people back to nature.

Join LA Compost at the Audubon Center at Debs Park for a “LearnShop” on compost and its benefits for the Earth! Hands on activities will take you through the process of transforming food scraps into healthy soils with lots to learn about compost, worms, and ecosystems along the way. Attendees will get the chance to take home earth friendly prizes such as seedlings and compost tea!

We encourage attendees to bring their food scraps to the event to be composted.

This is a low waste event, please bring your own refillable/reusable water bottle to enjoy water onsite. Family friendly, activities for all ages. Water and light snacks will be provided.
